Appointment changes are welcome with more than 24 hours notice. Rebooking is generally based on the next available appointment so be aware that can delay your appointment significantly with our busier doctors.
Cancellations are fine with notice and we will generally leave it up to you as to how you would like to proceed. If you will not be seeking a replacement appointment, we will generally send a letter to your referring GP or specialist to let them know.
We understand that life can be busy and unexpected things can change your plans. All we ask is that you give us more than 24 hours notice so that we might be able to offer that appointment to someone else who is waiting to see the specialist.
Very short term cancellations (same day) or Failing to attend a booked appointment will be charged a $110 cancellation fee which is not covered by Medicare. Rebooking can not be done until that fee is paid. Prepayment for rebooked appointments after short term cancellation or failing to attend may also be required.
Multiple cancellations will result in you being discharged from the clinic.
Your GP is your first point of call for repeat prescriptions. We generally send your doctor a letter outlining the recommendations for medication and scripts are also logged with you My Health record.
The supply of repeat scripts through this practice, outside of consultation is at the discretion of your doctor. If you have not seen the specialist for a period of more than 3 months, an appointment will be required.
We can only provide repeat scripts for medications initiated by our doctors. We are not able to provide repeat scripts for medications prescribed by other specialists or GP’s, unrelated to your Endocrine or Diabetes treatment.
Repeat scripts attract a fee of $75.00 and require a minimum notice of two working days.
There are only a small number of specific medications that require specialist only prescribing (e.g. Growth Hormones). Those cases are managed on a case by case basis. Most other medications can be prescribed by your GP.
